PRIOR TO CONFIRMATION

Choose a wall to which you want to attach the changing table. Look for a solid wall. For example a supporting wall. A plaster wall is not suitable for mounting it. Unless it is armed. The supplied plugs are not suitable for a plaster wall. But how do you know what a supporting wall is? The supporting wall is an indispensable element in your home, because, as the name suggests, these walls have a load-bearing function.

4 tips for locating a solid wall:

  1. The place in your home: In general, you can assume that a supporting wall supports another important element in your home. What should you think about then? Take, for example, the stairs and the load-bearing floors of a possible upper floor. Nine times out of ten, facades and outer walls are also load-bearing walls. For example, also check whether parts of the house have been built. Thus, a former exterior wall may have become an interior wall, still supporting the construction of the house.
  2. Supporting walls can sometimes also be recognized by their specific characteristics. For example, a supporting wall always consists of strong materials. The wall in question must have sufficient strength to perform a load-bearing function. You can think of limestone or a wall of bricks. In general, a supporting wall is usually at least XNUMX centimeters thick.
  3. Are the original beams visible in your home? Take a good look, and where, these run. Support beams generally support a large portion of the weight. The wall on or against which a beam rests has a load-bearing function.
  4. Another way to recognize a supporting wall is when it continues to the next floor.

Still no clue? Then consult construction drawings of your house. If you do not have these available, you can usually request them from the municipality. Or ask a specialist.

FIXING WALL COMMODE

Step 1.

Determine the desired height for the wall dresser. For a correct posture it can be taken as a guideline that the flap of the wall dresser in the unfolded situation is equal to the height of the elbow.
When using the wall dresser as a desk, the height can be determined at your own estimate.

Hold the wall dresser (spirit level!) In the correct desired position and mark the 4 pre-drilled holes in the back of the wall dresser on the wall.

Step 2

Drill a hole in the wall at all 4 marks from step 1 with an 8mm drill and insert the wall plugs.

Step 3.

Open the wall dresser. Insert the 4 bolts including washer from the front into the pre-drilled holes so that the bolts protrude from the rear of the changing table. Hold the wall dresser in the correct position and screw the bolts into the wall plugs.

MAXIMUM WEIGHT

  • The wall changing table medium and large are suitable for infants, babies and children weighing up to 15 kg.

CONTROL

  • Pay attention! The wall dresser must be securely attached to the wall. Check this regularly.

MAINTENANCE

  • Only use a slightly damp cloth with a mild cleaning agent such as green soap or washing-up liquid for cleaning. The use of aggressive agents such as scourers, thinner, scouring paste, etc. is strongly discouraged because of damage to the surface.
  • Pay attention! Although only high-quality materials have been used, it is important that the surface of the andcomod blades come into contact with sharp objects (buckles, belts, sand) as little as possible. This prevents scratching.
  • Pay attention! Check regularly that the changing table is securely attached to the wall
  • Pay attention! Check regularly whether the hinge of the changing table is still working properly
  • Pay attention! Regularly check whether the changing table still grips properly when folded up.

ERGONOMIC USE

To ensure optimal use of the changing table, it is important to read these usage recommendations carefully. In connection with sufficient standing and movement space, the wall dresser is in principle intended for right-handed and left-handed carers (m / f).

Basic rules:

  • Fold out the wall dresser
  • Keep all the items you need for changing within reach
  • Changing mat close to the back (for transverse changing)

Transverse change:

  • Always have the child lie as close to the edge as possible so that you do not have to work excessively. The caregiver (m / f) stands with feet wide and legs next to each other or in a walking position. In the walking position, the caregiver (m / f) can optimally use her / his legs and weight transfer from the front to the rear leg is possible

Height adjustment

  • Make sure that every caregiver (m / f) takes the time to determine the correct height setting and, if necessary. to mark. Determine the height by standing with relaxed shoulders and lifting only the forearm. The top of the changing mat, where the child is lying on, may be set at 5 to 10 cm below elbow height.

SAFETY

For the safety of you and the children, please observe the following points:

  • A wall dresser is not a play object! Never leave children unattended near the changing table, even while you are 'grabbing' something.

  • When adjusting the height and opening and closing the wall dresser, make sure that:
    - there are no children under the wall dresser.
    - there is no risk of crushing with objects in the vicinity.
    - there are no children standing on the table.
